Online Graphics

Today in class we created a chart of Math Scores using Kids Zone. We created a chart that showed the West Virginia Scores vs. The United States Scores. The NETS Standard that I used is customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources I think this standard related to the activity because we used a graph to show the scores of students learning styles.

Graphics

Today in class we learned how to edit graphics in paint. The graphic that I choose is a county map of West Virginia. I covered up some of the counties and the children will have to identify the missing county. The INTASC standard that deals with our activity today is "Instructional strategies/problem solvingThe teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to encourage students’ development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance skills." The NETS standard that deals with our activity is design and adapt relavant learning experiences that incorporate ditigal tools and resources that promote student learning and creativity.

Dale's Cone of Experience

Describe what Dale's Cone of Experience is? Dale’s Cone of Experience is pretty much what it says it is describing the levels of things we remember by how much we are involved in the experience.
Is Dale's Cone of Experience logical? Factual? Yes I do believe that Dale’s Cone of Experience is logical because if you think about it most people remember more if they are involved in the situation. Yes it is factual because the more involved I am in something the more likely I am to remember it.
How does Dales' Cone of Experience comport with current research on teaching and learning in the assigned reading. After the reading, comment on your opinion of the validity of Dale's Cone of Experience. I think that Dale’s Cone of Experience is a good way to report how people remember thing. The current research on teaching and learning is getting better because I think more teachers are getting children involved in the activities that they do in school instead of just lecturing to them.
